Two New Suspects Charged In PnB Rock Murder Case

An alleged attempt to cover up the rapper’s murder has reportedly led authorities to the pair.

The investigation into PnB Rock’s murder has added two new suspects.

Rolling Stone has obtained court documents that reveal Tremont Navon Jones, 45, and Freddie Trone appeared at a Compton courthouse on Monday (October 30). The latter is accused of being the getaway driver and father of the juvenile charged with shooting and killing the California rapper.

Jones has reportedly been charged with two counts of robbery, one count of conspiring to rob Rock (born Rakim Hasheem Allen) inside Roscoe’s Chicken & Waffles, and one count of illegal possession of a firearm. He also stands accused of tipping off the alleged killers to the rapper’s location and possibly supplying the weapon for his murder.

Jones was arrested in May in connection with the murder, however, his charges were filed under a different case number, which resulted in them being able to be anonymous until now.

Trone was arrested and charged shortly after the murder along with his 17-year-old son, who is accused of pulling the trigger that killed PnB Rock. His wife, Shauntel Trone, has also been reportedly charged as an accessory after the fact.

Wynisha Evans, the other new suspect in the case, has been charged with being an accessory after the fact following her initial arrest in May. She allegedly drove Trone from L.A. to Las Vegas after the murder to help him escape law enforcement’s manhunt for her husband.

Jones and Evans have both pleaded not guilty to the charges they face. Freddie and Shauntel Trone have done the same, according to Rolling Stone.
