That Time A Physical Fight Almost Broke Out Between Master P And Kobe Bryant...

You won't believe who stepped in to stop it.

The Black Mamba, a.k.a. Kobe Bryant, and Better Black Television music industry mogul Master P almost went blow for blow years ago, according to Master P’s conversation on The Red Pill Podcast With Van Lathan.

Their altercation didn’t quite escalate to the point of a physical exchange, though, and they have the now-retired Lakers baller star (and Kobe’s teammate) Lamar Odom to thank for that.

Master P wasn’t clear on the details of what led up to the fight while sharing with Lathan that he “almost got into it with Kobe at the Lakers facility.”

One detail he shared was that the altercation occurred around the time he was shooting hoops himself, which roughly places the timeline around the late ‘90s through early 2000s. Still, the little information he did give was vague.

“You know how Kobe is—the Lakers is his facility,” he said. “It was just one of those things, that’s his place, which it was. But, you know.”

Lathan probed deeper, but to no avail. P merely added that the two “had a couple of words,” and that the situation had something to do with someone not getting their way (assumably Kobe).

Thankfully, Odom had stepped in to cool off whatever height their nearly physical tiff almost reached as well.

Listen to his recap of the baller fight that (fortunately) never was, below.
