Offset $1M Lawsuit Over Missing Bentley Dismissed

The Atlanta rapper’s legal team claims that the PML lawsuit was “meritless.”

The lawsuit against rapper Offset over a missing Bentley has officially been thrown out despite the 30-year-old claiming that he never signed the rental agreement or had the Bentley Bentayga in his possession.

According to Rolling Stone, the Feb. 2021 lawsuit that accused the artist of breach of contract was dismissed without prejudice at the behest of Platinum Transportation Group.

“I was told by a PML representative that PML would report the car stolen to the authorities. I did not steal the car, and I reported the car missing to PML as soon as I was advised by Williams that the car could not be located,” Offset wrote in a declaration obtained by the outlet. “In or about July 2020, I was informed by PML that the car was reported stolen to the Los Angeles Police Department and that they were investigating the theft of the car.

Platinum Transportation Group reserves the right to file additional lawsuits against the Migos member born Kiari Kendrell Cephus.

“The case was not settled. We are simply changing venue and will be refiling in the federal northern district court of Georgia,” Platinum’s lawyer Bryan M. Thomas said in an official statement.

In an April sworn statement, the rapper shared that he never signed the rental agreement and never drove the luxury car. Instead, he revealed that the driver of the car was Oriel Williams, the mother of one of his children, who had leased the vehicle.

Offset argued that he only agreed to cover the cost, not take possession.
