Watch: Madonna Upsets Michael Jackson and Prince Fans With Her Latest Comments

"I'm still standing," she said.

Madonna has paid her dues in the music industry, earning her the respect as one of the most celebrated pop icons today.

Recently, she was honored for this as Billboard's "Woman of the Year" at this year's Women in Music event. While accepting her award, she gave some words that seemed to upset the fans of some of music's fallen legends.

"Michael [Jackson] is gone. Tupac is gone. Prince is gone. Whitney [Houston] is gone. Amy Winehouse is gone. David Bowie," she said. "But, I'm still standing. I'm one of the lucky ones."

Take a look at the clip, below:

While some say her words were innocent, others took major offense, saying her comments were a bit braggadocious.

What do you think? Are people overreacting or does Madonna need a slice of humble pie?

See which other pop star is up there with Madge on the Billboard singles chart in the video, above.
