Julio Foolio Shot And Killed At Tampa Hotel

The rapper’s lawyer confirmed his death early Sunday (June 23) morning.

Early Sunday (June 23) morning, Julio Foolio was shot and killed at a Tampa, Florida, hotel parking lot, according to his lawyer, Lewis Fusco.

During a press conference, Tampa Police spokesperson Jonee Lewis revealed that cops responded to a shooting reported at the Holiday Inn Tampa North, where two cars were shot at. Four people were hit by the gunfire. The three injured were treated at a nearby hospital, and their condition was reported as stable.

WTSP-TV reported that Julio Foolio, whose real name is Charles Jones, was celebrating his 26th birthday on Friday (June 22) and staying at an Airbnb.

The Jacksonville rapper took to his Instagram page to share a video promoting a pool party on Saturday (June 22) night. He told his followers to send him a direct message for the address. Later that night, he posted that the police had “shut us down and kicked us out” of their Airbnb. Fusco admitted that too many people were on Airbnb.

Julio Foolio has nearly a million monthly listeners on Spotify, where his top-played track is Voo Doo.
