Hip Hop Awards 2022: Yung Miami Gives Podcasting the ‘City Girl’ Treatment in These Unforgettable ‘Caresha Please’ Interviews

Get you someone that can do both!

Caresha Romeka Brownlee, better known as Yung Miami, is best known as one-half of the hip-hop duo City Girl. However, earlier this year, the Florida native pivoted into the world of podcasting with her REVOLT TV-hosted podcast Caresha Please. The visual segment finds the award-winning emcee interviewing some of the hottest celebrities in hip-hop. The series has already seen its fair share of viral moments since its premiere last June with her first guest, beau and hip hop mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs.  The pair covered several topics, including Diddy’s new imprint Love Records via a one-album deal with Motown records, their goals, and relationships that had fans running to their social media platform to chime in.

During the 2022 BET Hip Hop Awards, Yung Miami tied with labelmate Drink Champs with host N.O.R.E. and DJ ENF. The multi-hyphenated star wasn’t there to accept the honor, but legendary emcee and presenter T.I. kindly took the recognition on her behalf.  In honor of this year’s ceremony hosted by Fat Joe, let’s take a look back at some of the most unforgettable Caresha Please interview moments.

  • Saweetie

Caresha left no stone uncovered when she interviewed West Coast emcee Saweetie. The pair discussed several juicy topics, including her upcoming album,  Pretty B—ch Music,  being single, and her highly talked-about breakup with Migos’s member Quavo. The “Icy” emcee got candid about her March 2021 breakup with the Atlanta rapper,  sharing that “I be having anxiety. Like when I go on dates, I be like, ‘I don’t wanna get caught.’“

She added, “Somebody sees you out with somebody [or] somebody sees you sitting next to somebody, the whole world just erupts. It’s fun because it’s my first time really being single, but at the same time, I have a lot of anxiety when I go on dates.”

  • Megan Thee Stallion

Things got quite steamy when Houston hottie Megan Thee Stallion linked up with Yung Miami for an extra special episode of Caresha Please. The “Act Up” emcee came with hard-hitting questions, which made for an instant viral moment when she asked Megan, “you like girls?”

The “Cry Baby” rapper made it clear that she “likes what [she] likes” but that she does like Yung Miami. The host went deeper into the unknown as she flat-out asked Megan, “would you f—k me?” For those who didn’t catch the episode, that would be a “yes.”

  • City Girls’ JT

A City Girl always it keeps it real with her friends and the conversation got deep with this  reunion with host Caresha, bandmate JT—and yes, Saucy Santana was there too—as the group gathered for an emotional episode where they addressed breakup rumors and learning to keep their sisterhood as the Miami duo while still cultivating their individual brands. When asked why she doesn’t come around them often, JT explained, “I don’t want to be around because I take everything too personal.” The budding emcee admitted that she’s still learning to express her emotions appropriately.
