“Me and U” singer, Cassie, is the newest Skims campaign star.
In an interview with Page Six, Cassie said, “I was honestly just so excited to be asked to be a part of [it], it barely crossed my mind.” The wildly popular mommy mogul Kim Kardashian brand is known for its evocative visuals. SKIMS continues to be a solutions-oriented brand creating the next generation of underwear, loungewear, and shapewear for the girlies.
The latest campaign features Cassie and a slew of other baddies like Indya Moore, Becky G, Brooke Shields, Chelsea Handler, and Juliette Lewis. Kardashian has deemed this campaign “SKIMS’ biggest campaign yet.” The creator also said in a press release, “Confidence starts within, and with this campaign, we are bringing all women together to celebrate all bodies and individuality.”
The shoot took place on Cassie’s birthday, and while she was also traveling that day, she made it a family event, and it turned out to be a beautiful day on set with everyone.
Cassie told Page Six, “I've also come to a place of loving my body for all that it's done for me and my family and embracing it for what it is. I think that this campaign celebrates that.” Furthermore, the singer shared, “I like to wear certain things around the house even if it’s not a sexy time. Nothing crazy, maybe just a bra and boxers or a romper. It just makes me carry myself different and feel a different confidence.”
In the interview, she names that when she wants to keep it sultry, Cassie opts for “anything tight to the body,” and because she’s always authentic, the Skims Soft Smoothing T-Shirt and Shorts do just that. In fact, she threw on the very set as she dashed around the city for New York Fashion Week.
The new Skims collection is set to release on September 27, offering bralettes and underwire bras created for weightless comfort, shape, and extra support.
