Simon Guobadia Accuses Porsha Williams of Marrying Him for Financial Gain
Porsha Williams and her ex-husband Simon Guobadia continue to share all about their marriage.
In an exclusive interview with PageSix, Guobadia spoke to the outlet and opened up about his thoughts on why Williams wanted to tie the knot with him, stating he felt “blindsided” when the reality star filed for divorce.
“I kept asking, ‘Why did you file for a divorce?’ And she wouldn’t say anything,” Guobadia shared.
“This felt like a coup. … I was totally blindsided.”
He continued, letting the outlet know they had a disagreement on Valentine’s Day and she filed for divorce just a week later.
“She never shared her concerns or issues with me before filing for divorce,” he explained.
“If you’re married … you discuss issues and say, ‘Hey, if this does not change or something does not happen, this is what might come of it. I think I was targeted. I was targeted from day one for financial reasons. When I filed for divorce from my previous ex-wife [‘RHOA’ cast member Falynn Guobadia, Williams] was in my DM praying for me. I think I was in a vulnerable position at that time, and I entertained it. So it just kind of snowballed from there.”
He then took accountability, mentioning how he was “out of his mind” getting engaged after 30 days with Williams.
“Getting engaged in 30 days … who does that? I was out of my goddamn mind to have done that,” he exclaimed.
“Of course, I’m paying dearly for it.”
Williams refutes those claims in her latest cover story with People, expressing how she wasn’t in the marriage for Guobadia’s money and had expectations to show her marriage on this past season of “Real Housewives Of Atlanta.”
“People really thought it was fake!,” she shared.
“They thought I was just in it for the money, and none of our love was really real. I know the fans, they were excited to see Porsha Guobadia on Housewives. You think I wasn't excited about bringing Porsha Guobadia and Simon Guobadia from Instagram to Real Housewives? Of course! We were going to have so much fun, and we were preparing for it together and all that! But life happened.”
