South Carolina Senator Tim Scott Says Democrats Are Working to “Ruin” America

Still not announcing his 2024 intentions, Scott is making moves and appearing on Sunday news shows as a potential presidential candidate would.

Sen. Tim Scott of South Carolina attacked Democrats ahead of his likely 2024 White House run.  Speaking on “Fox News Sunday,” the lone Black GOP member of the Senate accused the Dems of “working on a blueprint on how to ruin America.”

Scott said, “The left is trying to sell a drug of victimhood and the narcotic of despair.”

While Scott hasn’t officially declared that he will seek the presidency, his schedule could seem to imply that’s the plan. Last week, he visited the early voting state of Iowa, something all candidates tend to do, and while there he shared a message of hope and belief in the Republican Party.

South Carolina Senator Tim Scott Reportedly Preparing for 2024 Presidential Campaign

If Scott joins the pack of potential presidents, he’ll be up against fellow South Carolinian Nikki Haley and the twice impeached Donald Trump.

The Hill reports that Scott’s platform thus far has impressed a desire to to maximize education opportunities and promote policies of increasing school choice for parents and students. He admitted though on policy, there’s not much to distinguish himself and Trump.

The potential candidate played coy when directly asked about his 2024 plans, telling viewers, “I’ve made the decision to go to church at 11:30 today.”

So far, four major contenders for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination have emerged, having officially announced their campaigns. They are: South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley; former president Donald Trump; former Montana Secretary of State Corey Stapleton; and entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy.
