Chris Paul steps off the court and into entrepreneurship with the launch of his new plant-based snack brand.

Meanwhile, "Sinners" on MAX is breaking barriers as the first show on the platform to offer Black American Sign Language as a viewing option. And Angel Reese continues her winning streak, gracing the cover of NBA 2K26 for the WNBA edition.

  • WNBA Is Expanding To 18 Teams

    The WNBA continues to make strides, and the world will be able to see a slew of new faces as the organization is planning on expanding, with Cleveland, Detroit and Philadelphia set to join the league by 2030.

    According to the Associated Press, the league is set to expand to Cleveland, Detroit, and Philadelphia by 2030. Cleveland is expected to begin play in 2028, followed by Detroit in 2029, and Philadelphia the season after, pending approval from the NBA and WNBA Board of Governors.

    “The demand for women’s basketball has never been higher, and we are thrilled to welcome Cleveland, Detroit, and Philadelphia to the WNBA family,” WNBA Commissioner Cathy Engelbert said.

    “This historic expansion is a powerful reflection of our league’s extraordinary momentum, the depth of talent across the game, and the surging demand for investment in women’s professional basketball.”

  • Angel Reese is your NBA 2k26 WNBA Edition cover athlete

    More great news for the WNBA, as Angel Reese is your NBA 2K26 WNBA Edition cover athlete. The occasion is more special as Reese debuts her first signature shoe with Reebok, featured on the cover.

    “Being on the cover of NBA 2K26 and debuting my first-ever signature shoe with Reebok on thatcover, the Angel Reese 1, is more than a milestone, it’s a statement,” Reese said in a press release.

    “It’s about representation and showing young girls they can be confident, bold, and take up space unapologetically."

  • Taraji P. Henson Set To Make Her Broadway Debut

    Taraji P. Henson is taking centerstage on Broadway soon.

    The Golden Globe recipient has been tapped to star in a new Broadway production of August Wilson’s “Joe Turner’s Come and Gone."

    She will star in the play alongside Cedric "The Entertainer", both set to portray Bertha and Seth Holly, respectively.

    The play unfolds in a Pittsburgh boarding house run by Seth and Bertha Holly that serves as a refuge for Black travelers navigating the challenges of the Great Migration. Among them is Herald Loomis, a man searching for his missing wife, and his identity, after being illegally enslaved by Joe Turner.

  • Chris Paul Launches Plant-Based Snack Brand

    Chris Paul is taking on a new business venture with healthy benefits.

    Paul has launched a plant-based snack brand called Good Eat'n. Toward the end of his 20th NBA season, the veteran reaffirmed his commitment to wellness, which ultimately led him to create the brand.

    Some of the offerings includes Hot Hot Puffs, Cinnamon Sugar Puffs, Nacho Cheeze Tortilla Chips, Big Dill Ranch Tortilla Chips, and Cookies N Creme Popcorn. 

    "As someone who loves to snack, I know how hard it is to find better-for-you options that are flavorful and don't feel like a compromise,” said Chris Paul, founder of Good Eat’n. 

    “Everyone loves the taste of Good Eat’n, we know once they try it, they love it. Expanding with Walmart is such a proud moment, as it gets the snacks out there to more people”.

  • 'Sinners' To Include Black American Sign Language Version On Max

    The Sinners franchise continues to amaze the world. Debuting on MAX on July 4th, viewers are able to enjoy the film in two ways:  1) streaming the exact theatrically released version, and 2) choosing "Sinners" in Black American Sign Language (BASL).

    This marks “a major step forward in accessibility, representation and visibility in streaming," the streaming service said in a press release.

    “For the first time, the Black Deaf community will have streaming access to a more immersive experience in their language."

    For those unfamiliar, Black American Sign Language (BASL) is “a distinct dialect of American Sign Language (ASL) with its own dynamic history and unique grammar, signing space, rhythm, facial expressions and cultural nuances," according to the announcement.

  • Grant Hill And Chris Webber Are Minority Owners Of A WNBA Franchise

    We love to see ownership in our own community.

    NBA Hall Of Famers Grant Hill and Chris Webber have become minority owners of a WNBA team held in Detroit.

    Both players have played for the Detroit Pistons at different times during their professional careers. The state had a team between 1998 to 2009, named The Detroit Shock, which had been quite successful, according to CNBC.

    The team won three WNBA Championships.
