Drake and Chris Brown fans are still watching the clock for that Drizzy and Breezy collabo following their explosively violent 2012 blowup and storied, fickle relationship that would eventually follow.
Until then, they’ve got the next best (and closest) thing to a union between the Young Money rap star and R&B icon in 2018: an exchange of hatchet-burying salutes.
Drake’s big-up for Breezy came in a rather hilariously unexpected form…
The Scorpion artist was actually roasting his close and longtime R&B friend Trey Songz on his hooping skills on Instagram. Trigga Trey is seated beside his fellow Virginia native and heartthrob R&B crooner on the gym court sideline in the candid shot as they sip water and Gatorade, presumably waiting for their turns to return to the court.
“I wanna see CB highlights I know you went 1 for 16,” Drizzy joked to Trey, apparently aware of Breezy’s on-court skills.
Drizzy added on another salute for Chris while jokingly chewing his R&B bro out
An ESPN-worthy salute, in fact.
Perhaps he was returning the favor for some love Breezy showed him back in June upon the release of his top-charting Scorpion album.
