Some Are Asking Why Twitter Didn't Report This Tweet Allegedly 'Predicting' Manchester Attack

ISIS claimed responsibility for the bombing that left over 20 dead and many injured.

After the devastating attack at the Manchester Ariana Grande concert, reports of a Twitter user who predicted the bombing has some questioning why nothing was reported to police.

ISIS has claimed responsibility for the attack which killed at least 22 and injured 59. Although there is no proof the bomber was connected to ISIS, one supporter of the Islamic State reportedly spoke of the attack four hours before it happened.

  • The reported tweet has been shared by multiple twitter users

The tweet read: “Are you forget our threat? This is the just terror.”

In the post, the hashtags Islamic State and Manchester Arena were used. The second tweet read: “We have more.”

Although the tweet has not been verified, the time stamp has some people wondering if the sender is located in the U.S. — meaning the tweet would have been sent after the explosion.

Police have not commented on any connection between the Islamic State and the bomber; however, Greater Manchester Police have arrested a 23-year-old man.

  • News of the tweet has some wondering why it was not reported to authorities

The account associated with the tweet was suspended by Twitter shortly after the screen shots were circulated.

  • Twitter has said they are unable to comment on suspended accounts in relation to the attack due to their policy

“Our policy is not to comment on individual accounts for privacy and security reasons. However, we always endeavour to support law enforcement as per our guidelines and will continue to support the investigation of the UK authorities as and when required," a Twitter spokesperson told HuffPost UK.
