Raven-Symoné’s Wife Said This May Get Raven’s Black Card Pulled

On ‘We Playin’ Spades,’ Miranda teased Raven about skipping lotion: ‘She lets herself stay ashy.’

Raven-Symoné’s wife, Miranda Pearman-Maday, does not hold her tongue when it comes to their relationship. In an appearance on Nick Cannon and Courtney Bee’sWe Playin’ Spades” podcast, Pearman-Maday shared that Raven’s Black card might need to be taken because she’s…ashy.

During a segment about having your Black card pulled, Pearman-Maday shared, “You know what else would get your Black card pulled? You don’t moisturize.”

She then spoke to Cannon and Bee and said Raven “don’t wear lotion. She lets herself stay ashy.”

Cannon couldn’t believe it. He yelled, “You don’t lotion?!”

"Sometimes I be ashy," Raven replied.

She then described her personal routine and the products she uses, like African black soap and added that she still uses “baby lotion ’cause I got an abundance of it.” She also discussed bed bonnets and simple skin-care choices during the segment. “And then sometimes I get tired of just being there, lathering,” Raven said.

Cannon’s solution was for Raven to lather up right after the shower. "Just have the lotion right there and make that a part of the process before you put your draws on," he said. Pearman-Maday said that makes for "better hydration."

"If you're a little damp, when you put your lotion on, you lock in the moisture. You're more hydrated. That's exactly what I do," Pearman-Maday explained.

This candid couple has faced intense online scrutiny before. In 2024 Pearman-Maday drew harsh backlash for comments about not having seen “That’s So Raven” before meeting her, prompting Raven to publicly call out trolls after her partner received death threats.

What will their haters do when they find out Raven’s wife is more moisturized than she is?!
