Here's the latest update on little Lathan and the man refusing to turn himself in.
In the middle of February, a Texas woman thought she was making a kind gesture when she allowed her 1-year-old son, Lathan, to stay with his biological father for a week. However, when the time came for her to pick him up, she knew something was very wrong.
Brittany Byrd then posted to her Facebook page describing the state Lathan was in when he was dropped off by his father.
As the story took off, Byrd's friend Azuree Williams created a special Facebook page for updates on Lathan's condition
Lathan's father has still not been found and his photo has been shared to help locate him
Family and friends of Lathan's mother have created a GoFundMe page to help offset the medical expenses.
