Columbus Short is continuing to rebuild his post-Scandal career. A week after the actor performed at a local comedy club in Burbank, California, Short popped up in Atlanta to shoot a role for the romantic comedy Mr. Right, TMZ reports.
While details of the project are unclear, sources say that Short is the lead in the film, opposite Justified actress Erica Tazel. The actor seems to be embracing his clean slate, tweeting on Wednesday night, "even though you don't see things happening things are always happening."
Still, Short's past troubles aren't quite behind him. The actor is due in court on Monday for a hearing in his ongoing assault case with the victim of his fists in a bar fight earlier this year. He is also engaged in a vicious divorce battle with ex-wife Tanee McCall-Short.
