Malia Obama Is The Definition Of A Carefree Black Girl In New Music Video For ‘Walking On Air’

The former first daughter pretended to the play harmonica and whipped her hair for the New Dakotas.

Malia Obama may be doing her best to keep a low profile while studying at Harvard University, but she recently took a break from that and stepped into the spotlight by way of a music video.

Recently, the former first daughter was seen singing, dancing, and playing along in the New Dakotas’ new video for their song “Walking on Air.”

Around 1:40 seconds into the video, Malia appears on screen wearing a fall knit cap and comfy oversized shirt as she mouths the words to the song.

According to Vibe, the indie folk band, who also attend Harvard, is composed of seniors while Obama is a sophomore.

“The premise of the music video centers around the group attempting to find a new member of their band, and various people audition for the new spot,” writes Vibe.

It’s good to see Malia is still living her best life while the rest of us feel like we’re walking in a nightmare.
