Just when you think his streams can’t get any bigger or more outrageous, IShowSpeed exceeds every expectation.

Born Darren Watkins Jr., the 20-year-old YouTuber and streamer is back in the spotlight with his latest streamathon, “Speed Does Africa,” where he explores the continent and immerses himself in the culture, traditions, and historical landscapes. His streams in Angola were already next level, but now he’s made history as the first creator to live stream inside the Great Pyramid of Giza in Egypt. 

In his now viral videos, viewers saw him in his element: full of energy and excited to share this experience with everyone. The footage starts with an overhead drone shot of the pyramids, confirming he’s actually there, and then you hear, “We’re about to make history right now. Nobody has ever streamed inside the Pyramids.”

As the video continues, IShowSpeed is seen entering the Pyramids. He then enters a tunnel while an archeologist explains what he’s about to witness. The video went viral quickly, with fans and those chronically online giving him credit for the constant advancement of his streams and content. 

One X  user said, “Speed this is elite I’m not even gonna lie.” Another user tweeted, “Man went from streaming in his bedroom to streaming at one of the Seven Wonders. That Speed transformation is insane.” While many showered him with love, others questioned, “How is he getting access to this,” and the only answer is pure commitment to his craft. 

The only other creator to come close is Jimmy Donaldson, aka MrBeast, who spent 100 hours inside the pyramids—but he didn’t live stream during his time there. That makes IShowSpeed the first ever to broadcast live from this iconic location, locking in his place as one of the most daring and inventive streamers of his generation.
