Look: Broncos' Aqib Talib Shot in Dallas Night Club

Here's the latest on the Super Bowl champion star cornerback.

Aqib Talib won't be meeting President Obama at the White House with his teammates Monday.

That's because the Super Bowl champion Denver Broncos' Pro Bowl cornerback was shot in the lower right leg early Sunday morning at a Dallas nightclub called V Live Club. The Broncos' vice president of public relations, Patrick Smyth, tweeted later in the day that Talib is "doing OK." Dallas police confirmed to USA Today Sports that they're investigating the shooting, which left a total of three men shot, including Talib.

According to ESPN, Talib, 30, received stitches and is expected to make a full recovery. The nature of the shooting is currently unknown, but local Denver media calls it "accidental."

Although the three-time Pro Bowler is expected to be released Monday, it's a shame that a nightclub shooting robs him of the opportunity of being honored by the commander-in-chief at the White House.

Fortunately, his injuries weren't far more serious.
