Wendy Williams' Son, Kevin Hunter Jr. Evicted From Miami Apartment

He was hit with a lawsuit requesting $70,000 in back rent.

Several outlets are reporting that Kevin Hunter Jr., the 22-year old son of Wendy Williams and her ex-husband, Kevin Hunter, has been thrown out of his Miami apartment for lack of rent payment. Apparently, Hunter was evicted after receiving notice of unpaid rent in August 2022 for nearly $70,000. The lawsuit contends that the last time he paid rent was in February 2022, according to PEOPLE.com.

A copy of his lease filed in court explains that Williams paid over $100,000 for a year’s rent on the luxury accommodations, starting in March 2021 and ending in February 2022. Hunter says his mother had every intention of buying the property, but then described her continuous health problems as the reason why she was unable to do so.

In a letter to the court, Hunter detailed that his mother’s finances are no longer in her control. As a result, Williams’ cash flow has come to an abrupt halt leaving both her son and her ex-husband with a decrease in their financial support, including his housing.

Once the lease was up in February, Williams professed that her bank, Wells Fargo, had denied her access and frozen her financial accounts. The bank did so in response to her former advisor Lori Schiller who  said that Williams "was of unsound mind."

Hunter says he planned to continue paying the rent after his lease was up but the landlord filed the lawsuit after several months of unpaid rent.

"l had to pause my education for a full academic year because of COVID and to care for my mom,” said Hunter in the statement filed in August 2022. “Even though my name is on the lease, my mom was paying, and for medical and legal reasons, she has not been able to pay the rent for the past months since the 1 year lease ended and the court has controlled her finances."

After some erratic encounters filmed by the paparazzi earlier this year, Williams issued a statement that she was planning to spend some time at a Malibu, California wellness facility. She made her first public appearance at WBLS’s Circle of Sisters event two weeks ago in New York City where her fans took time to show her how much she is still loved.

Hunter, who is Williams’ only child, is said to have found another place to live while the situation sorts itself out. Fans are still awaiting details about Williams’ plan to launch a podcast.
