Snoop Dogg and Wiz Khalifa Kicked Off Cali Campus

The rap stars were ousted from movie set by school officials unaware of film's content.

Snoop Dogg and Wiz Khalifa’s forthcoming film High School is running into some opposition. The bud buddies were recently kicked off their filming location at Mira Costa High School in Southern California’s Manhattan Beach after videos from the weekend tapings surfaced on YouTube. The footage, apparently set to be used for the title track of the upcoming film, featured strong lyrics and drug paraphernalia.

According to the Daily Breeze, School officials claim that they were unaware of the nature of the filming, stating they received a facility use application from a company called Loop Productions, who requested to use the school as a set for a film about the typical life of a high school student. It wasn’t until the tell-tale videos showed up on the Internet that faculty, teachers and parents became privvy to what was going on. “It’s in a Costa classroom. It’s recognizable because of the stuff on the wall,” one teacher, who wished to remain anonymous, told the local newspaper.

For now all filming has been canceled. “The district will not be receiving any facilities use fees for this canceled project,” assistant superintendent Steve Romines said. “The district is also demanding that any footage taken not be used in the production.”
