2022 NAACP Image Awards: 5 Funniest Movie Moments from Kevin Hart

The actor took home the award for ‘Outstanding Actor in a Television Movie, Limited—Series, or Dramatic.’

Kevin Hart took home the award for “Outstanding Actor in a Television Movie, Limited—Series, or Dramatic Special” at the 53rd Annual NAACP Image Awards for his performance in the Netflix original True Story. The limited drama series, which also stars award-winning actor Wesley Snipes, became a hit among viewers immediately following its release on November 24, 2021. Hart stars as Kid, a rising comedian whose career and life is threatened when the fallout from a night with his brother tries to destroy everything he's built.

The series earned several nominations at this year’s ceremony, including “Outstanding Actor in a Television Movie, Limited-Series or Dramatic Special” for both Hart and Snipes, “Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Television Movie, Limited-Series or Dramatic Special” for Will Catlett, and “Outstanding Directing in a Drama Series”.     Hart and rapper-turned successful actor Ice Cube are an unexpected hilariously funny duo in this buddy cop comedy about a cop, Ben Barber, in training. Cube plays James Payton, Barber’s trainer, and future brother-in-law. Barber has to prove himself as a cop and as a man if he thinks James will accept him as family. Ride Along also includes supporting roles by John Leguizamo, Tika Sumpter, and Laurence Fishburne.

    Hart teams up with wrestling legend turned movie star Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson in their first of many projects together, including Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, and Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw.

    Johnson plays Robbie, a former high school outcast turned CIA agent, while Hart plays Calvin, a former Mr. popular who finds himself unfulfilled in his life. The pair reunite for a dangerous secret mission. It’s clear early on that this duo is an on-screen match made in heaven.

    Hart plays Teddy Walker, a man who returns to school to get his GED to get a job at a financial investment firm. while fellow comedian Tiffany Haddish plays his night school teacher Carrie, whose overwhelming desire to see her students succeed often requires unusual and sometimes painful tactics.

    Hart is the adorable fluffy villain, Snowball, a white rabbit, in the 2016 Illumination Entertainment animation The Secret Life of Pets. The actor steals the show as he menacingly uses his uber comedic talent. The family-fun film includes a slew of guest-celebrity voice appearances from stars including Hannibal Buress, Eric Stonestreet, Harrison Ford, Elli Kemper, Jenny Slate, and more.

    Based on Steve Harvey's non-fiction book of a similar name, Think Like a Man features a star-studded including Hart, Taraji P. Henson, Michael Ealy, Meagan Good, Regina Hall, Terrence J, Gabrielle Union, and many more.

    The funnyman played a divorcee named Cedric in this romantic comedy that follows four men whose love lives become complicated after their respective partners purchase Harvey's book and use the advice in it to make themselves more challenging to their men.
