Cardi B Set to Release New Single This Friday

The Bronx rapper is back with her first solo track since March, teasing ‘Outside’ on socials and building serious hype.

Cardi B is officially outside this summer. The Grammy-winning rapper has announced that her new single, “Outside,” will be released this Friday, marking her first solo release since March. Cardi initially previewed “Outside” earlier this year and has successfully built anticipation among fans.

In one viral clip, she raps: “I’m going out (on the pop out) side (cause it’s hot out), out (you was playing games), side (you on time out). Out (where them fine n**gas) side (I’m tryna find n**gas). I been cuffed up too long let me remind n**gas.” Fans have taken notice, piecing together the lyrics and noting how they seem to reflect themes of detachment, confrontation, and setting boundaries.

While Cardi has not provided direct context about the song’s meaning or confirmed who the lyrics are about, “Outside” has already sparked widespread conversation across social media platforms. Both fans and critics are paying close attention to the track, dissecting its verses and trying to understand the message Cardi is sending.

This single marks Cardi’s third solo release of the year, following “Enough (Miami)” in March and “Like What (Freestyle)” in February. These previous tracks signaled a return to solo work after a period focused mainly on collaborations and featured appearances.

Though there is still no confirmed release date for her sophomore album, “Outside” adds to the growing momentum surrounding Cardi’s return to music. Her 2018 debut, Invasion of Privacy, was a critical and commercial success, earning her the Grammy for Best Rap Album and establishing her as one of the rising voices in hip-hop.

What sets Cardi apart is that she owns her truth unapologetically and never softens her stance. She shows up fully herself, on her terms, no compromises, and this song proves she’s not letting up one bit!

The full single will be available on all streaming platforms this Friday, June 21.
