Eve Announces Lip Lock Tour

"Pitbull in a skirt" set to hit stages starting in August.

Eve is embarking on a tour for her Lip Lock album, her latest project released in May via her own independent label, From the Rib, an imprint backed by Sony.

The Grammy Award-winning Philly native, who recently relocated to London, has been teasing her official return to music with the promotional single "She Bad Bad" and its remix featuring Pusha T and Juicy J as well as the album's official lead single, "Make It Out This Town," featuring Gabe Saporta, and "Eve" featuring Jamaican artist Miss Kitty, which premiered in April on BET.

This is the first time she's pushing a major music project since her last studio album, 2002's Eve-Olution.

“I’ve definitely evolved musically. Like, my ear is different ... But as far as me lyrically, I think people can definitely recognize me and I think people will hear me and be like, 'D--n, that’s my girl!'" the "pitbull in a skirt" told BET.com. "You know, especially for people who maybe fell in love with me from the Ruff Ryders days. I still feel like, you know, there’s still enough on this album for them."

Even though she’s now across the pond, the former first lady of Ruff Ryders still collaborated with Swizz Beatz for Lip Lock, as well as with Chrisette Michele, Dawn Richard, Missy Elliott, Snoop and an up-and-coming femcee named Nacho.

Can we hope to see some of these artists during the tour? We're not sure, but Eve does promise to give fans some of her classic hits like "Who's That Girl" along with her new material.

The rapper/actress is set to kick off the tour this August in Washington, D.C., with scheduled stops in New York, Los Angeles and Denver.
