Drake is on a roll right now and he continued his hot streak of high-level music last night with the release of his latest single “Nice For What.”
At 11 pm, the Toronto native delivered on his promise of new music from just a day prior. The single is his third of 2018 and sonically presents a cheerful and upbeat tone, perfect for the spring. It also features a Lauryn Hill vocal sample that’s chopped and screwed. Hats off to Murda Beatz, who produced the song, for that.
At the same time Drake dropped the single, a video for it appeared on his OVO label’s YouTube page which made equal headlines and showcased Drizzy’s knack for creating discussions around his art.
Drake's latest single comes shortly after the release of his much talked about "God's Plan" song and video. Currently, it's sitting atop the Hot 100 charts for the tenth consecutive week.
"Nice For What" is expected to be on Drake's upcoming full-length project.
Sheesh. New Cardi B album and now new Drizzy? The music gods are giving us a blessing right now and we'll certainly take it.
