Brandy to Make Her Broadway Debut in Chicago

The Grammy-winning singer will play Roxie Hart.

Brandy is heading to the stage in a completely different capacity than she's used to. The Grammy-winning singer is set to star as Roxie Hart in the Tony Award-winning, record-breaking hit musical Chicago.


The R&B/pop superstar shared the news with her fans on Instagram, posting a promotional poster announcing her Broadway debut with the caption, "roxie @chicagomusical #ChicagoMusical #Broadway #lifechanging #Godinmeasme."

According to, the "Full Moon" singer will begin her performances at the Ambassador Theatre on April 28. She will play an eight-week stint through June 21, taking over for Paige Davis, who will assume the role on March 30.

The singer will join an incredibly experienced cast, which currently includes Amra-Faye Wright as Velma, John Dossett as Billy Flynn, Raymond Bokhour as Amos Hart, NaTasha Yvette Williams as Matron "Mama" Morton and R. Lowe as Mary Sunshine.
