DeVon Franklin Marries Maria Castillo in Luxe Lakeside Ceremony at Casa Lago
DeVon Franklin has tied the knot with personal trainer, Maria Castillo.
Back in November while attending the 14th Annual Merge Awards, the producer formally confirmed his relationship with Castillo during an interview with Baller Alert.
“Sometimes, you know, you say ‘date,’ and it’s like, oh, yeah, cool. But that implies a moment. When I’m saying, ‘Hey, this is my girl,’ I’m saying that’s a commitment. So I think it’s very important when we make a commitment to be okay with verbalizing that, vocalizing that,” he shared to the outlet.
Castillo then chimed in, expressing her love for Franklin.
“You know, he goes through life constantly thinking of others and he’s also fine. So, but he’s obviously, you know, a man of God, and that comes first, so that was that was my green flag,” she exclaimed.
The couple made it official on Saturday (Aug. 2) in a lakeside ceremony at Casa Lago Beverly Hills.
“The vision was to create something that feels like us and brings our friends and family into our love story. We wanted to create an event that evokes the beginning of our love story,” Franklin exclusively told People.
“So often people look at a wedding as the end of a love story but it’s just the beginning. We wanted this event to capture that, so people can really experience our love for one another.”
Castillo also told the outlet, “the vision was to create an experience that felt deeply meaningful and reflective of who we are, not just as individuals, but as a couple.”
She continued, “Every detail is intentional from the music, to the décor, to the vows, to the spiritual moments.”
It was a star-studded affair with celebrities in the building, including Kelly Rowland, Tim Witherspoon, LeToya Luckett, Taleo Coles, Israel Houghton, Adrienne Bailon-Houghton, Jesse Garcia, Annie Gonzalez, Tyler Lepley, and Robin Thede.
