5 Songs That Are Heating Up TikTok

Drake, Janet Jackson and Ravyn Lenae currently have popular songs on the video platform.

Almost monthly, TikTok churns out a new batch of viral hits. Currently, there’s a rotation of five huge tracks. Among them are classics, like 2001 Janet Jackson single “Someone to Call My Lover,” and newer songs like Drake’s “Nokia” and Doechii’s updated version of “Anxiety,” originally posted to YouTube in 2019. Below, BET.com gives a quick round-up of five tracks that should be heard in your next TikTok.

Drake - “Nokia”

Burning up TikTok with his chart-topping “$ome $exy $ongs 4 U” single “Nokia” is Drake, who recently dropped a black and white music video for the track. Among fans are Latto, who collaborated with Drizzy on last year’s “Housekeeping Knows.”

Doechii - “Anxiety”

Just weeks after her first Grammy win, Doechii reworked and re-released “Anxiety,” her twist on 2011 Gotye classic “‘Somebody That I Used to Know.” The song went viral thanks to “Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” alum Will Smith and Tatyana Ali dancing to the song alongside the Tampa, Florida rapper.

Janet Jackson - “Someone to Call My Lover”

The Gen Z kids are getting schooled on Janet Jackson’s “All for You” classic “Someone to Call My Lover,” with the song having a carefree, spring-appropriate feel that has gotten covers and choreographed dances on TikTok. Now, we just need TikTokers to discover the entirety of Jackson’s iconic catalog.

Playboi Carti - “EVIL J0RDAN”

Fresh off the release of his third studio album, “Music,” Playboi Carti rages on “EVIL J0RDAN,” which has fans getting equally as rowdy.

Ravyn Lenae - “Love Me Not”

Gaining steam during her nationwide tour, and ahead of joining Sabrina Carpenter’s Short ‘n Sweet Tour is Ravyn Lenae with her indie rock-influenced track, “Love Me Not.”
