‘Love Is Blind’ Favorites Lauren and Cameron Are Expecting Their First Baby Together

After a long fertility journey and the recent loss, Lauren calls the pregnancy news a much-needed spark of joy.

Lauren and Cameron Hamilton are officially growing their pod into a party of three.

The fan-favorite couple from season 1 of Netflix’s “Love Is Blind” are expecting their first child together after a four-year journey with infertility. The duo confirmed the news to PEOPLE, sharing that the pregnancy came through IVF.

“We were counting down the day till we could test because we did IVF [in vitro fertilization],” Cameron recalled. “We knew, okay, this is the day that we're going to do the test. Of course, we're going in for a blood test later that day, but we couldn't wait any longer.”

“We did the classic test, and we both went into the bathroom to look at the Clearblue test, and it was face down,” he added. “We flipped it over. We saw the word pregnant, and that was just a huge moment to actually see the word pregnant on the test. It was a..."

“A relief,” Lauren finished for her husband.

Elsewhere, she noted that this moment had “been long time coming,” adding that “We've literally been trying to get pregnant for four years.”

The couple had previously opened up about their fertility struggles on their podcast “The Love Seat,” and Lauren revealed this news was especially meaningful after the recent loss of her father. “This was literally light in the darkness,” she said. “This was like, wow. The spark that my whole family needed. We've been trying for a long time.”

She continued, “It was a little bittersweet because my dad's not here physically to be with us, but we know that he's watching over us.”

Cameron, she added, has been her rock throughout the process. “He’s just been so great, so patient… I’m so blessed to have a partner like him.”

Though her first trimester was tough, Lauren is now in her second and embracing the cravings, particularly for cheese. “Cheese and fruit have been my thing,” she said.

As for advice, the Hamiltons are turning to fellow “Love Is Blind” alums Amber and Matt Barnett, who recently welcomed a baby of their own. “Amber is full of advice,” Lauren shared. “She’s giving me the real, real lowdown.”
