Young Thug Plans 'Hometown Hero' Benefit Concert At State Farm Arena

The Atlanta native is using his platform to uplift his city with a December 16 show honoring the release of 'Uy Scuti.'

Young Thug is giving back to his city in a major way.

The rapper announced plans to host a benefit concert at Atlanta’s State Farm Arena on December 16th.

The concert will be called “Hometown Hero,” and will be in support of his latest album, “Uy Scuti.”

The fourth album features appearances from Cardi B, Ken Carson, Mariah the Scientist, Sexyy Red, Travis Scott, 21 Savage, Quavo, Lil Baby, Future, and more.

Although she appears on the track “Invest In You,” the “Hearts Sold Separately” singer and Thugger recently called it quits.

The rapper revealed the news during an appearance on the Adin Ross podcast, confirming the end of the relationship with his usual candid humor.

“I got broke up, n***a,” he told Ross after the streamer assumed they were still together. He then clarified, “I got a girl. She probably don’t got a boyfriend, but I got a girl.”

He recently apologized to the 27-year-old after a jailhouse call was leaked, with the “Stoner” rapper mentioning how Mariah’s suspicions were indeed correct, BET.com reported.

“One of my little girls… she posting stuff on the internet at my condo,” he said during the call, referring to another woman who had shared photos from inside his Atlanta home. At first, he brushed it off as something that had happened long ago.

But moments later, he doubled back, revealing the situation was more recent than he initially implied. “Wasn’t a minute ago, it was the day before I got locked up,” he admitted before downplaying the moment with a nonchalant, “So whoopie doo.”

He then publicly apologized to the “Out Of Luck” singer on X, saying he was “wrong” and remorseful for his actions.

“U deserved better from me. Thank you for everything and I will do anything to make this work,” he wrote. “U showed me what love is and I hope I haven’t lost u forever… everybody leave her out of this please she’s an innocent girl and feels bad about all of this. Please give her peace.”

The couple dated for four years.
