The stabbing began as a verbal altercation between the injured, the deceased and another man inside a Philly bar, NBC Philadelphia reports.

“We believe that both of the victims, as well as the perpetrator, were all inside of this bar and that’s when an argument started,” Chief Inspector Scott Small said.

De'Von Pickett, 29, died from his wounds. He was Minaj’s tour manager, according to TMZPickett (pictured left in the above image) also worked with Rihanna, who responded to the loss on Instagram writing, “can't believe this is true! one of the nicest, coolest, funniest people I've ever met and toured with! We had so much fun together!!! Sad to lose a beautiful spirit like yours #RIPDayDay.”

The second victim, 27-year-old Eric Parker, remains hospitalized in critical condition but is expected to survive

The 30-year-old suspect has not been arrested and was reportedly seen driving a gray Buick LaSabre.

Witnesses say the altercation involved someone who was recently fired, although police have yet to substantiate the report.
