Kanye West Speaks to Design Students at Harvard

"I really do believe that the world can be saved through design," the rapper told students.

Kanye West paid a visit to the students at the Harvard Graduate School of Design in Boston on Sunday to lecture them on the value of good design as part of the "DONDA Design Lecture Series." The rapper was joined by Virgil Abloh, creative director of West's brand DONDA, a design company started by West in 2012 and named after his late mother, Donda West.
"Just wanted to tell you guys: I really do believe that the world can be saved through design, and everything needs to actually be architected," he said.
But Kanye being Kanye couldn't help but briefly turn it into a political rant about how terrible our government is in regards to leading this country into a better future.
"I believe that Utopia is actually possible. But we're led by the least noble, the least dignified, the least tasteful, the dumbest, and the most political. So in no way am I a politician – I'm usually at my best politically incorrect and very direct. I really appreciate you guys' willingness to learn and hone your craft and not be lazy about creation."
Fiancée Kim Kardashian was also on hand to support her boo and shared a photo from the lecture on Instagram.
"My baby speaking at the Harvard Graduate School of Design," she wrote on the photo's caption.
