‘Basketball Wives’ Brooke Bailey ‘Broken’ Over Daughter’s Tragic Death Two Months Later

She reflected on social media about being an “angel mom.”

Part of Brooke Bailey’s Thanksgiving holiday was spent reflecting on the loss of her daughter, Kayla Nicole Bailey.

On Thursday (November 24), the Basketball Wives star shared a picture on Instagram of her sitting next to her daughter’s gravesite.

“It's an Angel Mom thing. Be glad you don't understand,” captioned Bailey. “I am fragile and broken and have felt sadness and despair beyond what words can explain. My Child is gone from this earth, and there is no pain as intense as what is in my broken heart. #PrettyBlack 💜”

Bailey’s post received loving and supportive comments, including her Basketball Wives co-stars Brandi Maxiell and Jennifer Williams.

“I love you, my baby,” wrote Maxiell, with Jackie Christie adding two heart emojis and a prayer hands emoji. “Love you, Brooke,” Williams commented.

Bailey’s post comes a couple of months after she revealed via social media that Kayla had passed away at the age of 25.

“Forever my baby, Pretty Black, aka Kayla Nicole Bailey,” she captioned a series of pictures of her daughter on IG on September 25. “This is not a goodbye. Mommy will see you soon.”

While initially, Bailey didn’t reveal a cause of death, she later released a statement noting that she and driver Julius Weaver died as a result of a “fatal collision with a tractor-trailer.”
