Oprah's Over-The-Top Gift To Mindy Kaling's Daughter Will Make You Wish She Was Your Fairy Godmother

The Queen of giveaways strikes again!

She's been known to give out cars, TVs, and even wads of cash. Yes, Oprah Winfrey, the Queen of Daytime TV, is also the Queen of Givaways. For all the amazing gifts Oprah has given fans and friends alike, her gift to Mindy Kailing's baby girl will melt your heart.

Kaling, like most new moms, was expecting congratulatory flowers. Then again, most new mom's aren't friends with Oprah Winfrey. During a talk with USA Today, Kaling revealed that her Wrinkle in Time co-star surprised her with a present so big it had to be delivered via U-HAUL.

"They arrived with a hand-carved bookcase, prettier than any professional dollhouse you had ever seen, that contained a hundred of the classic essential books in children's literature," Kaling told the publication. As a personal touch and a nod to Oprah's famous book club, each book has "Katherine's Book Club" on it. How cute!

The pricey present is yet another bombshell dropped by Oprah regarding Kaling's daughter. For those who didn't know, Oprah spilled the beans last July, when she accidentally leaked the news about Kaling's pregnancy. Kaling, ever the comedienne, took it all in stride.

“If anyone is going to announce big news about your private life, Oprah Winfrey is the person," she told Ellen DeGeneres. "You can’t complain that much about it. And you also can’t be like, “Hey, Oprah, zip it’ — because she’s almost like a religious figure.”

Unfortunately, most of us won't be lucky enough to have Oprah announce our pregnancies, shower us with lavish gifts, or see her run for president. But we're still excited for Mindy and her baby girl!
