Instagram and Twitter definitely blew up for the better last night.
The BET Awards 2023 were a smash hit, featuring hot performances from artists like Latto and Patti LaBalle, tributes to 50 years of hip-hop, and a spectacular show-off and speech from BET’s “Lifetime Achievement Award” recipient Busta Rhymes.

Coco Jones Finally Gets Her Flowers
“Her performance gave everything it needed to with all the natural vocals🔥🔥” said one fan about actress and singer Coco Jones who took home the “Best New Artist” award after getting recognition for leaving behind her lengthy career at Disney and finally breaking into mainstream music.
Her dreamy, rainy performance was giving all the essential elements of an r&b performance, one fan said, “See CoCo got the memo! It's not real R&B if there is not any rain😂😂😂😂. Great performance 🔥❤️”
Migos’ Tribute to Takeoff
Fans completely gushed over Migos’ heartfelt tribute to their third group member, Takeoff, who died suddenly just last year.
“I cried watching this. Now Takeoff can rest in peace because his boys are together again🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿❤️❤️❤️” commented one fan on TikTok.
Many stood in solidarity with the pair missing their partner, “gave me chills rip takeoff🤍🤍🤍🥺🥺🥺” said another fan showing their sympathy.
Bust Rhymes Blew Our Minds
