Webbie Arrested On Drug Charges

Louisiana rapper busted in Tennessee for possession of marijuana.

It hasn't been the best week for Louisiana rapper Webbie. Just days after performing at a club in St. Louis where the security guard was shot, the rapper was arrested for possession of marijuana.

Following a show in Kentucky, Webbie, whose real name is Webster Gradney, Jr, was pulled over by highway patrol on Monday night (April 4) in Tennessee. Cops found two ounces of marijuana and $13,240 in a cardboard box in his lap. According to police, however, Webbie tossed the marijuana out of the window.

Webbie was arrested on drug possession and for tampering with the evidence.  The three other people in the car with Webbie were also arrested, on other charges. Derric Watson, the driver, was charged with driving with a suspended license, while Tyrone Terrio was charged with marijuana possession. Michael Abbot was arrested on a weapons charge, carrying a loaded .357 revolver.

Webbie spent the night at the Marshall County Jail and was released on a $21,000 bond along with the other passengers.
