Tameka Raymond Posts Photo of Son After Pool Accident

Usher Raymond V appears safe and healthy in his mother's arms.

Usher's ex-wife Tameka Raymond posted a photo of the former couple's five-year-old son on Thursday, following a scary pool accident in which the child nearly drowned. In the photo, Usher Raymond V appears to be resting peacefully in his mother's arms, surrounded by balloons and flowers in his hospital room.

The photo is further proof that the child is on his way to a full recovery following the accident, which occured when he got his hand stuck in a drain while trying to retrieve a pool toy. The incident re-ignited the custody war between the former couple, who divorced in 2009 and have been fighting each other for custody of their two boys ever since.

Usher was awarded full custody last year, following the tragic death of Foster's 11-year-old son Kyle Glover in a jet ski accident, Foster requested an emergency hearing after the pool accident demanding custody of the boys. She claims her ex, who was not present at the time of the accident but arrived in time to ride with his son to the hospital, is too distracted by work and travel to be a good single parent. Indeed, the image of Tameka comforting and caring for her son following the scare may have been posted as evidence of her relationship with Usher Raymond V, as a doting and caring mother.

According to TMZ, Tameka Raymond tried serve Usher's aunt Rena with a subpoena to testify at the custody hearing today, but Rena couldn't be located. Allegedly, Tameka wanted Rena at the hearing so her lawyers could ask what caused the near-death of her son. Without the subpoena, Rena will more than likely not attend the hearing.

Regardless, it's great to see the five-year-old, who sources claim was laughing and eating yesterday, out of danger.
