[Watch] No Respek: NBA Commissioner Leaves Steph Curry Hanging

Adam Silver did the two-time MVP dirty out here.

Stephen Curry became the first unanimous MVP in NBA history on Tuesday, winning the award for the second consecutive season.

Pretty impressive, right? Just try telling NBA commissioner Adam Silver that.

After Steph gave his official MVP acceptance speech Tuesday, Silver formally presented the award to Curry during a pre-game ceremony before Wednesday night's Game 5 between the Golden State Warriors and Portland Trail Blazers at the Oracle Arena in Oakland.

The only problem was that after Silver announced Curry as the NBA's 2015-16 MVP, Steph took his hands out of his pockets and extended one to give the commish a handshake — except Silver completely left him hanging, reaching to pick up the award, instead.

Peep the moment, beginning at the 45-second mark.

Hey, commish — you gotta put respek on the MVP's name and give him that handshake. It's pretty hilarious that Steph knew right then and there that Silver left him hanging and had no resort but to laugh off the moment.

After leading the Warriors to an NBA-best record of 73-9, nailing a league-record 402 three-pointers and winning back-to-back MVPs, we'll consider this Steph's only loss of the season.
