John Boyega Wants Racists to Know He's 'Confident' and 'Chocolate'

Star Wars actor has the best response to the bigoted backlash.

If John Boyega had an OKCupid profile, we have an idea what it would say. Addressing the racist backlash he received (for what seems like the 100th time) in an interview with the New York Times, Boyega says he's unbothered by the hateful talk because he's a "confident Black man."
Correction. Because he's a "confident, Nigerian, Black, chocolate man." Hot!
Boyega goes on to say, "I’m proud of my heritage, and no man can take that away from me. I wasn’t raised to fear people with a difference of opinion. They are merely victims of a disease in their mind. To get into a serious dialogue with people who judge a person based on the melanin in their skin? They’re stupid, and I’m not going to lose sleep over people. The pre-sale tickets have gone through the roof — their agenda has failed. Miserably."
Of course, anticipation is through the roof for Star Wars: The Force Awakens, which opens this Friday. It will likely be a star-making role for the British actor. Sadly, we may see less of his co-star Lupita Nyong'o than we had hoped. Rumor has it that many of her scenes never made the final cut. Watch BET Breaks below for the scoop:
