A$AP Rocky Faces Second Lawsuit In Alleged A$AP Relli Shooting

The Harlem rapper and his attorney are both named in a new defamation suit.

A$AP Rocky reportedly faces a second lawsuit over an alleged shooting of former A$AP Mob member A$AP Relli.

Rolling Stone reports that the Harlem rapper, born Rakim Mayers, and his defense attorney Joe Tacopina are named in a new defamation suit filed by his former cohort, born Terell Ephron. In the complaint, Relli claims that Tacopina has attempted to make him out to be a bitter former friend “trying to get money from Rocky.”

Additionally, he alleges that the lawyer tried to “impugn and malign” him by making false statements to publications and a radio show last September.

In court documents, Relli’s attorney, Camille Vasquez, asserts that Tacopina told Rolling Stone in September 2021 that Rocky “didn’t shoot [Relli] by any stretch,” describing the alleged shooting as a “false scenario” and a way to obtain money.

Relli and his attorney are seeking punitive or exemplary damages, as well as legal fees, as a result of Tacopina’s remarks, claiming he has “suffered damage to his reputation and his personal brand; goodwill in the community as a member of A$AP Mob” and potentially lost future income “as a result of the negative publicity.”

A$AP Rocky has not responded publicly to A$AP Relli’s lawsuit.
