Summer Walker’s Hottest Records

R&B's favorite Aries turns 27 on April 11.

In 2018, Summer Walker captivated R&B enthusiasts with her enthralling debut single, "CPR," which swiftly emerged as a quintessential summer anthem. Hailing from Atlanta, this gifted artist has since delivered a series of exceptional tracks that offer solace during the toughest breakups and facilitate emotional healing. Notable examples include "Girls Need Love" and "Dat Right There." As the alluring Aries approaches her 27th birthday on April 11th, we celebrate her remarkable contributions to the music scene by revisiting some of her most sizzling records thus far.

  • “CPR”

Summer made her formal introduction to the music scene with the release of “CPR” from her first mixtape, Last Day of Summer.  The mellow r&b single found the musician talking about how her man’s love is like CPR. The songbird wrote the single alongside the record’s producer Jacob Gamboa.

  • “Girls Need Love”

Following the success of “CPR,” Summer, a former cleaning business owner and dancer turned rising star, released “Girls Need Love,” another deep mid-tempo r&b record that finds the artist candidly singing about wanting affection from her guy.

Thanks to a Drake-assisted remix, Summer earned her first Top 40 entry on the US Billboard Hot 100.

  • “Body”

Summer confronts running back to the lover who does you dirty in this 2019 smash “Body.” The song famously features 702’s hit 90s single, “Get it Together.”

The track was produced by Aubrey “Bobbie” Robinson, Roark Bailey, and London on da Track.

  • “Playing Games (Extended Version)”

Summer teams up with r&b crooner Bryson Tiller for her 2021 single “Play Games” from her album, Over It. The track found both artists talking about a romance but never taking action.

  • “No Love” featuring SZA & Cardi B.

“No Love” from the singer’s second studio album, Still Over It,  is a triple threat featuring Summer, SZA, and Cardi B. The pop-inspired hit record finds the ladies telling their exes they only want to have sex and fun and no longer want relationships with them.
