Kanye West Teases Daughter North’s ‘Elementary School Dropout’ Album

The rapper-producer says his oldest child made him “love music again.”

Kanye West felt like a kid again while crafting “Elementary School Dropout,” the debut album of his oldest child, North West.

On Monday, January 20, the 24-time Grammy winner shared two black-and-white Instagram posts dedicated to his 11-year-old daughter, who’s hard at work on her introductory LP. West shares North with his ex-wife, Kim Kardashian, with whom he also shares children sons Saint, 9, and Psalm, 5, along with daughter Chicago, 7.

“This little girl made me love music again 🥲," West began the first post, which showed North sitting in front of a keyboard while wearing a polo fit that looked like it came from her father’s archival collection.

“She asked me to make beats for her I got back on the ASR Chopped up beats for her album and chopped every beats [sic] with my bare hand for BULLY," he added, referring to his eleventh album, slated to be titled “Bully.”

West captioned a follow-up post “TRAINING 2.0,” showing North, accompanied by West’s first cousin, singer-songwriter WRLDFMS Tony Williams, walking over to a makeshift studio. North, who’s worked on songs like “Talking” and “Bomb” with her father, made her Hollywood Bowl debut in a “Lion King” 30th anniversary cameo last May.

After announcing “ESD” during West and Ty Dolla $ign’s “Vultures 2” listening party last March, North kept mum about whether her father would be helping her on the LP, as seen in an interview with Jazlyn “Jazzy” Guerra below.
