Simon Guobadia Wants $500K From Porsha Williams Over Instagram Claims

The businessman says her posts damaged his reputation and cost him major deals — now he’s ready to bring receipts in court.

Simon Guobadia is looking to collect big from his ex-wife, “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Porsha Williams. In a federal defamation lawsuit, the 61-year-old businessman is demanding a $500,000 payout — plus more — over what he says were damaging claims she made on Instagram following their split.

According to newly filed court documents, Guobadia says he lost out on business opportunities and sponsorship deals and is also seeking additional damages for what he calls “emotional distress,” “humiliation,” and harm to his public image. He claims he’s entitled to even more due to what he describes as “malicious conduct” on Williams’ part.

Their breakup in 2024 may have been messy, but the aftermath has been even more explosive. In his lawsuit, Guobadia accuses Williams of making “negative, false and misleading statements” using her “outsized platform to negatively influence public perception of him.” Among those statements: claims about erectile dysfunction.

“These posts were intentionally crafted to imply that [Guobadia] suffers from this condition, casting him in a negative and humiliating light,” his attorney wrote. “The nature, timing, and context of these posts, amidst the couple’s public separation, led reasonable viewers to infer that [Williams’] statements were referring to [Guobadia] — because they were.”

Guobadia has made it clear he plans to submit medical records to dispute any "implications" made by the posts. His team insists the comments weren’t just careless — they were damaging and deliberate.

Williams isn’t backing down. Her attorney says the posts don’t name anyone and shouldn’t be seen as defamatory. “None of [Williams’] posts refer to any particular individual, let alone [Guobadia] specifically,” the filing states. It also adds that she used hashtags like “#MensHealthAwareness” to offer information that could help followers.

The case is ongoing, and both sides seem locked in for a long fight.
