Run DMC’s ‘Raising Hell’ Album Gets New Vinyl Re-Release

The new project comes via the 12on12 company.

Today, it’s released a collection of curated music that is a tribute to Jam Master Jay and the 35th Anniversary of Raising Hell. The collection that includes a limited edition vinyl and a beanie can now be purchased through 12on12.com.

The vibrant art direction for the project was handled by contemporary artist and actress Reena Tolentino.

For prospective buyers who have Spotify, the price of each piece of the collection drops considerably. The limited-edition vinyl is $150 versus $225 without access to the streaming service, the beanie is $40 instead of $50 at regular price and, lastly, the package deal of the vinyl and beanie are $180 versus $275 originally.

Raising Hell, Run DMC’s third studio album, came out on May 15, 1986. It became Hip-Hop’s first platinum and multi-platinum album and was certified three times platinum by the end of the following year. It featured four of their classic hit singles, “My Adidas,” “Walk This Way,” “You Be Illin,’” and “It’s Tricky.”
