Bill Cosby Sues Accusers for Destroying His 'Honorable Legacy'

Says he never drugged or sexually assaulted the women.

Bill Cosby is fighting back against seven of the 40-plus women who have accused him of sexual assault by filing a countersuit for defamation.
The fallen comedy icon "states plainly that he neither drugged no sexually assaulted the defendants and that each defendant has maliciously and knowingly published multiple false statements and accusations from Fall 2014 through the current day in an effort to cause damage to Mr. Cosby's reputation and to extract financial gains," Cosby's attorney, Monique Pressley, says in a statement.
The suit, filed in federal court, is aimed at Massachusetts accusers Tamara Green, Therese Serignese, Linda TraitzLouisa Moritz, Barbara Bowman, Joan Tarshis and Angela Leslie. The lawyer's statement adds that the "false...opportunistic" allegations have caused Cosby to suffer loss of jobs and "mortification."
These seven women have been singled out by Cosby because they initially banned together for a defamation suit against Cosby, and it's the largest of the half dozen civil lawsuits filed against Cosby in recent months. The actor tried to have the suit thrown out altogether, but a judge refused his request in October.
No word yet on whether he'll countersue all the women who have filed civil suits against him. Either way, looks like Cosby will be spending much of the next year in court.
