Halle Bailey Granted Restraining Order Against Ex DDG

The actress-singer accused the father of her son, Halo, of assault.

Nearly one year after their breakup, actress-singer Halle Bailey has filed a restraining order against her ex-boyfriend and child’s father, DDG

The news was revealed on Tuesday, May 13 by TMZ, who shared that “The Little Mermaid” star was granted court-ordered protection from the rapper and streamer. Bailey shares her son, 16-month-old Halo, with DDG, real name Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr.

In court documents, filed on Tuesday, Bailey claims that DDG first became physical with her in January when he came to pick up their son. After attempting to discuss their son’s visitation schedule, Bailey alleges that DDG began yelling at her when she tried to buckle Halo into his car seat. She recalled that during an alleged scuffle with DDG, he slammed her head into his steering wheel, resulting in a chipped tooth.

Although the alleged fight stopped as Bailey remained in the car while screaming and crying, it was upon arriving at his family’s home and going inside to tell them what had occurred that Bailey felt it safe to leave Halo.

Bailey also attached photos of bruises and her chipped tooth that she sustained during the alleged altercation in her restraining order request.

In another instance in March, Bailey claimed that DDG entered her home without permission, going into her bedroom and texting her a picture of her empty bed. The text read, “now I know what u been on lol,” which Bailey guessed was DDG accusing her of sleeping with other people.

Less than a week later, DDG allegedly returned to Bailey’s home, to which she wouldn’t let Halo leave due to him being sick. DDG is accused of being so angry at her that he smashed her Ring camera, ran off with her phone and threw it out of his car window while driving off.

Around the time of the alleged incident, DDG accused Bailey of intentionally withholding his access from Halo, as seen in footage from his past livestream. With Bailey being granted a restraining order, DDG must stay 100 yards away from her, and the entertainer has also been given permission to take Halo to Italy while she films an upcoming movie for two months. Additionally, DDG cannot post or stream about their son for an indefinite period.
