How Lizzo Keeps It Fly in the Friendly Skies
The flight from the Netherlands to Perth, Australia, is a cool 19 hours, but Lizzo had a game plan in place.
The 35-year-old singer packed headphones and a headscarf and treated herself to a glass of champagne and a face mask during the flight.
She shared the pictures in an Instagram carousel. The caption only noted her departure location and destination with an airplane emoji in the middle.
During a show in France, Lizzo performed some of her big hits, including “Truth Hurts,” “About Damn Time,” and “Juice,” before being joined by comedian Tiffany Haddish whom she complimented, telling her, “You look beautiful tonight.”
Comedian and actor Kevin Hart also joined the ladies for a performance of “Good As Hell.”
Lizzo has eight big shows in Australia and New Zealand and a festival appearance at the end of the month at the Fuji Rock Festival in Minamiuonuma, Japan.
But American fans can look forward to seeing the Grammy winner co-headling the Made in America Festival in Philadelphia with SZA.
This week, Lizzo was nominated for an Emmy for best outstanding variety special (prerecorded) with HBO Max’s Lizzo: Live in Concert. If she takes home the golden statue, it will be her second Emmy after winning for outstanding competition program for Lizzo’s Watch Out for the Big Grrrls last year.
