Mike Epps Comedy Show Turns Into a Violent Melee

A front row heckler got sucker punched after being offended by a joke.

Things got a little out of hand at Mike Epps's comedy show in Phoenix on Friday. Apparently, a guy in the front row didn't find Epps to be that funny, and their confrontation lead to a full-on fight in the audience.
According to TMZ, Epps made a crack about the man looking like a member of Hootie and the Blowfish thanks to his flannel shirt. The man didn't take kindly to the jab and started getting in Epps's face. Security intervened and began ushering the man out of the club, but before he could get too far, somebody from the crowd who was obviously Team Epps jumped and cold clocked him, leaving him bloody and unconscious on the floor of the club.
As for Epps, he says he had nothing to do with the outbreak, but he did issue an apology "to all my fans and anyone that got hurt at my show!" He continues, "I never hurt anyone I was just doin what I do cracking jokes."
Police are investigating the incident.
