Young White Boy Shaves His Head So Teacher Can't Tell Him and His African Best Friend Apart
A 5-year-old boy in Louisville made a simple gesture that many think proves that no one is born with prejudice or judgment. Last Friday, when Jax Rosebush’s mother told him that he needed a haircut, he surprised her and said that he wanted to shave his hair down to look like his best friend, Reddy, reported KSLA.
According to Jax’s mother, Lydia, he wanted to get his hair cut identical to Reddy’s so his teacher would not be able to tell the two apart. The only catch? Jax is white and Reddy is an adopted boy from the Africa.
Lydia shared her heartwarming story on Facebook
Some commented that the story was a true testament to how prejudice is learned behavior

Others felt that it's more important to recognize differences and embrace them
Many have debated the concept and efficacy of being "colorblind" throughout time. Although it may appear to be a novel idea, some believe that recognizing differences in race and culture and learning to embrace those differences in times of calm and tension is more important than ignoring them.
