Chuck D Wants Elon Musk To Ban The N-Word On Twitter, Black Folks Are Divided On The Request
Chuck D of Public Enemy fame had a poignant message for Twitterâs new CEO, Elon Musk.
On December 2, Chuck D, born Carlton Douglas Ridenhour, wrote to Musk on the social media platform.
âYo @elonmusk the next thing Twitter should do is ban the N Word the N**ga & ni**er, by anyone that uses it here. Then, we know things are pointing in a equalized direction. Then, you can convince Zuck to do the same at IG FB get it outta here. Suspend em. Itâs as bad as that symbol.â
He also explained that he wanted to eliminate the n-word only on social media.
âIt ainât like kicking somebodyâs tail in a fight. Itâs all words and images here .. keyboard sht ⊠so Iâm not talking about anywhere else except social media right now because it can be done .. there gonna be a lotta people back broke over their âpetâ getting smashed on here..â
The request came in light of Kanyeâs recent banâ again â Â on Twitter for posting a swastika.
Musk addressed the ban in a tweet.
âI tried my best. Despite that, he again violated our rule against incitement to violence. Account will be suspended.â
Black Twitter was split on Chuck Dâs petition.
Others applauded the veteran rapper and activistâs request.
