'Tyler Perry’s Divorced Sistas': Naomi and Geneva Make The Chaos Worse
This week’s episode of “Tyler Perry’s Divorced Sistas” picks up from the can of worms Naomi opened when she accused Jeff of messing around with Myron. The latter two were waiting outside the home, so Rasheda cuts to the chase and calls them inside to get to the bottom of things. Naomi asks how long they’ve been smashing, and Jeff says nothing ever happened between them. They’re presented with the footage of Myron’s call, and Myron does a terrible job of lying, claiming he wasn’t talking about Jeff. Mmkay. Anyway, Jeff ultimately declares that he’s not gay or bisexual, that he loves his wife and would never do anything with anyone else, especially a man. Myron is standing there, stuck on stupid, while Rasheda declares that she’s done with Naomi. With that, Jeff and Rasheda leave together, but Jeff says he’ll deal with Myron later.
And just before everyone else disperses, Naomi gets served with papers. Her ex is suing her for assault for $50 million, which is everything she got in the settlement with him.
In more drama on the horizon, Javon is somehow going on Geneva and William’s trip to Italy. It’s unclear why William would be ridiculous enough to invite him when the trip is supposed to be about Geneva and William bonding. Anyway, Javon asks Tiffany to go with but the thing is, Tiffany is supposed to watch Anika for them, and Geneva has been avoiding her. However, she seems to think it’s a good idea to go. She asks Rasheda to watch Anika, and Rasheda, the only person who knows why Geneva is acting weird, thankfully talks Tiffany out of going. The reason she cites is that Tiffany doesn’t know Javon well enough yet. Tiffany agrees, so maybe this is a crisis averted, but Javon is persuasive and wants to make Geneva jealous, but also oddly turned on, at all costs.
Naomi stops by the hospital with black roses for Lindsay, who is still heavily sedated. Obviously, Franklin isn’t happy to see her, and the two of them end up taunting each other back and forth until a nurse finally calls security on Naomi. Later on, Naomi offers her gigolo $1 million to kill her ex and his wife. The money is enticing, but he’s still hesitant and turns the offer down.
Back to pastor Jeff. He demands to know who Myron was talking to on the phone. Myron explains that it’s a man who goes to that church. The man put it in Myron’s head that Pastor Jeff was in love with him, but Myron refuses to release the man’s identity. Jeff then asks Myron if he’s gay, and Myron says he loves his wife, but Jeff points out that he can love his wife and still be gay. Ultimately, Jeff decides to give Myron grace and allow him to keep his job as long as he goes to therapy to work out whatever internal crisis he has going on.
Let’s get to how the episode winds down. William invited Javon over to cook dinner for Geneva because the latter knew how to make the perfect flank steak. Geneva does the deer-in-headlights thing she tends to do and tries to play off her discomfort. While this is going on, Anika is in the backyard with the babysitter, and in the blink of an eye, Anika hurts herself severely, which leads them all to the hospital. It turns out, she needs a blood transfusion. William offers to donate, but the doctor tries to keep it cute when she says Geneva needs to do it. William demands to know why he can’t do it, and the nurse explains that they’re not the same blood type and asks if Geneva can come with her. Geneva is on that dumb ish, not reading between the lines, not picking up what the doctor is politely putting down via tone of voice, knowing exactly what she did and says she’s not going anywhere.
That leads to William asking why he wouldn’t be the same blood type as his daughter. See where this is going? Yeah. Geneva is going to have a heck of a time getting out of this one, if at all. Let’s pick this up next week.
